Accessibility Statement
Everyone looking for help with recovery should be able to find it. We want this website, and our facility, to work for you.
Our commitment
Skypoint Recovery aims to make this website usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology.
Our target is Level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, the widely used standard for accessible web content.
What we have done
The website was built with accessibility in mind from the start. Measures include:
- Semantic HTML. Pages use proper headings, landmarks, lists, and links so assistive technology can describe the structure.
- Keyboard navigation. Every link, menu, and control can be reached and used with a keyboard alone.
- Skip link. A "Skip to content" link lets you bypass the navigation and go straight to the main content.
- Visible focus. The element you are on is clearly outlined as you move through a page.
- Color contrast. Text and controls are designed to meet WCAG AA contrast ratios, and color is not used as the only way to convey information.
- Text alternatives. Meaningful images have descriptive alternative text, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Responsive design. Pages reflow to fit screens as narrow as 320 pixels and support browser zoom without horizontal scrolling.
- Reduced motion. If your device is set to reduce motion, the website respects that setting.
- No time limits. Nothing on the website times out or requires you to act within a set time.
Known limitations
We are honest about where there is still work to do.
- Third-party websites. Some pages link to sites we do not control, such as insurance or government portals. Their accessibility is the responsibility of their owners.
- Blog articles. Articles migrated from our previous website are being reviewed, and some may not yet fully meet our target.
